What you need
- You must show a concrete job offer; a copy of your driving licence (front and back, with the original at the appointment); the Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis (employer's declaration of the employment relationship) including supplementary form C (confirming your driving licence, your basic qualification, and the path to deployment in commercial freight transport), filled in by your future employer; a separate Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis for the future workplace after completion of the qualification measure; a tabular CV; a passport; and medical-insurance cover until you start work. A Vorabzustimmung from the Federal Employment Agency or the responsible foreigners-authority materially shortens processing.

Qualification, job offer, and pre-approval
- (Optional) Vorabzustimmung from the Federal Employment Agency or the foreigners-authority. If your employer has already obtained the consent of the Federal Employment Agency or the responsible foreigners-authority in Germany before the visa procedure begins, the consular post's processing time is materially shortened
- Copy of the driving licence. The copy of your driving licence must show the front and back. Please definitely bring the original to the appointment for submitting your application and present it, so that the match can be confirmed. Copies without presenting the original are not sufficient *
- Concrete job offer. Employment contract or binding job offer in original *
- Declaration of the employment relationship (Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis) including supplementary form C (Zusatzblatt C). The declaration refers to the employment you will undertake during the qualification measure. The form (link: Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis) must be completely filled in by the future employer and submitted in original. The same applies to supplementary form C. In this declaration, your employer confirms which driving licence you have, what basic qualification you possess, and how the path will look until your deployment in commercial freight transport *
- Declaration of the employment relationship for the future workplace. For the job offer after completion of the qualification measure, your employer must completely fill in a separate Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis. You also submit this in original *
