“Visa decisions are made by the German consular officer. Processing time is up to 15 working days; in individual cases additional review may extend the timeline. The verbal note from the Vietnamese MOFA is the central document — its content (delegation members, purpose, destination) drives the assessment.”
What you need
- You must show purpose (verbal note from Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs naming all delegation members + invitation letter from the German company/institution being visited + detailed itinerary), and a passport valid for 3+ months from your Schengen exit date. Travel medical insurance is encouraged but not required.
