What you need

  • You are a close family member (spouse/partner/cohabitant/child under 21 or supported financially by parent/parent supported by child) who is a citizen of another EU/EEA country than Norway and is staying in Norway, or a Norwegian citizen living in another EU/EEA country permanently, and you are going to travel together with or visit this person.
  • This kind of application is free. You must hand in the documents on the separate checklist.

  • Original passport valid for 3+ months after travel, with 2+ blank pages. Copy of bio data page. *
  • One photo not older than six months, not edited *
  • Signed print out of harmonised application form from UDI online portal *
  • Residence confirmation (Xác nhận cư trú) or equivalent proof of residence *

  • Certificate of family relations (max 3 months old, legalised) *
  • Marriage certificate (max 3 months old, legalised) *

  • Sponsorship form *
  • Original invitation/guarantee letter from sponsor/host *
  • Copy of the EU/EEA citizen's passport (showing EU/EEA citizenship) *
  • Copy of residence permit (if sponsor/host is a foreigner) *
  • Bank account statements of sponsor/host - last three months *

  • Written consent of other parent/guardian (if minor travels with one parent) or both parents (if alone) *
  • Birth certificate of the minor applicant (max 3 months old, legalised) *
  • Copies of ID cards of both parents *
