From Auswärtiges Amt
“The visa decision is made by the German consular post in Vietnam. This visa category typically requires the consent of the foreigners-authority responsible for your future work location; a Vorabzustimmung from the Federal Employment Agency or the responsible foreigners-authority materially shortens processing. Note: applicants aged 45 and over must show evidence of adequate retirement provision. Provide suitable proof of retirement security at the time of application (e.g. real estate, securities, insurance).”
What you need
- You must show a foreign academic or vocational qualification certificate and a ZAB notice confirming state recognition of your training (exception: a vocational qualification issued by a German chamber of foreign trade with a BIBB-evaluation note exempts you from the ZAB notice); employer references or employer confirmations specifying the concrete activities you performed; a social-insurance record (Vietnamese social-insurance book or VssID printout); a job offer with gross annual salary and language requirements; and an Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis (employer's declaration of the employment relationship) filled in by the employer. In addition: a tabular CV, a passport, biometric photos, and medical-insurance cover until you start work. A Vorabzustimmung from the Federal Employment Agency or the responsible foreigners-authority materially shortens processing. Language proof is not mandatory but increases the plausibility of the application.
